The application can be found at https://butlercountyfair.org/downloads. The application must include a short essay on why you would like a scramble calf and why you feel you would be a good calf recipient. Application and essay must be received by August 27, 2021. If you have additional questions, contact Mike Stirling at 319-269-5755 or Steve Dilger at 319-239-6698.
The Fair is closing in on a fundraising goal for a new Multi-Purpose building. The building will provide first aid access, restrooms, ticketing and fair offices during the fair. The building is designed with meeting space that can be used outside of the fair for other Butler County non-profits throughout the year at no cost. Your help is needed to reach the final fundraising goal, if you’re interested in supporting this project click on the link below to donate today.
Despite the best efforts by everyone involved in the planning and set-up of the Clint Black concert at the 2021 Butler County Fair, the concert was cancelled due to stage conditions, sound boards that were wet, and water that continued to come off the stage roof after the storms had passed. We understand our communication during the rain delay was not as good as it could have been and we do apologize. Our goal is to improve this process in the future.
The Fair Board has discussed multiple options regarding the cancellation of that night’s show. They have come to the decision to issue 2022 Super Saver Passes to guests who purchased single event tickets for the concert, and guests who purchased Super Saver Passes the night of the show at the ticket booth and did not use or scan the Super Saver Pass for Saturday or Sunday’s grandstand events.
For years, the Fair Board has worked hard to bring national touring acts to the Butler County Fair and include those shows as part of our affordable Super Saver Pass that is good for all fair grandstand events. In 2021 the pre-sale price for a Super Saver Pass was just $30. As a non-profit organization run by a group of volunteers, the Fair Board works hard to maintain our affordable ticket pricing each year. It is also important to mention we would not be able to keep our pricing structure intact without the immense support of our fair sponsors.
If you purchased a single event ticket for the Clint Black Concert or purchased a Super Saver Pass on Friday night, June 25th at the ticket booth and would like to receive a Super Saver Pass for the 2022 Butler County Fair, please send your ticket stub or Super Saver Pass along with your mailing address, email, and phone number to: BCF Treasurer at 28643 205thSt Clarksville, IA 50619. A confirmation email will be sent once the ticket stub or Super Saver Pass is received and validated according to the criteria above. Super Saver Passes for next year’s fair will be mailed out in May 2022.
The deadline for submitting your request is August 13, 2021.
